KYC and traffic rules
Know your customer
All business accounts complete identity and company verification before production access, numbers or routes are issued.
We also ask for the intended use of each service. Accounts that cannot be verified are not activated.
Numbers
Number use
- Numbers are assigned to a verified business with a declared purpose, such as customer support, sales or two-way messaging.
- Using numbers for mass account creation on third-party services is prohibited.
- Using numbers to receive verification codes on behalf of third parties is prohibited.
- We may ask for evidence of use and reclaim numbers that are used outside the declared purpose.
Voice
Voice traffic
- CLI policy: the presented caller ID must be a number you are entitled to use. CLI spoofing is prohibited.
- Robocalls, wangiri, unsolicited bulk calling and other unwanted traffic are prohibited.
- Customers must meet robocall mitigation requirements in the countries where they apply.
- Every voice account submits a traffic profile (origins, destinations, volumes) before activation, and traffic is checked against it.
SMS
A2P SMS
- Sender ID registration is required in many countries; we handle registration as part of onboarding.
- Artificially inflated traffic (AIT) and SMS pumping are prohibited.
- New accounts start with rate limits and geographic restrictions by default. Limits are raised as the account's traffic is reviewed.
- Content must comply with the rules of the destination country and network, including consent for marketing messages.
